Daniel Elstein named President of LOHV-NYC board

The League of Humane Voters of New York City ("LOHV-NYC") board voted unanimously today to name Daniel Elstein, a teacher and long-time animal advocate, its new Board President. Elstein formerly served on the group's advisory board.

"LOHV-NYC is enormously grateful to [former Board President] Lisa Virgona for her almost 3 years of leadership. It's hard to imagine that we would be as successful as we are today without her," said John Phillips, LOHV-NYC's executive director, adding: "We're very lucky that Lisa will continue to serve the organization as our new Vice President."

Phillips continued: "I could not be happier that my great friend Daniel Elstein will be leading LOHV-NYC. He has a tremendous vision for this organization and is committed fully to making that vision a reality. I look forward to working with him."

"I am thrilled about the board's decision and very excited about the future of the organization. I will work hard to ensure that LOHV-NYC continues to grow and to represent humane voters in New York City," said Elstein.
