LOHV-NYC in Albany

L-R: Assemblyman Jonathan Bing (D-Manhattan), Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan, LOHV-NYC executive director John Phillips, Assemblyman Alan Maisel (D-Brooklyn).

LOHV-NYC reps were in Albany this past Tuesday, urging the legislature to support a variety of bills, including those to ban the production of foie gras and so-called "canned shoots."

We also attended the confirmation hearing of Assemblyman Pete Grannis (D-Manhttan). You'll recall that Grannis was attacked by the NRA because, among other things, he had received our support. We'll be posting more about this soon, but the short story is that the meeting was "indefinitely postponed."
