LOHV-NYC's rally this past Saturday to save Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen from eviction was truly inspiring. In spite of freezing cold weather, more than 100 vegans, vegetarians and neighborhood activists turned out in support of our efforts. Thank you! More information on what you can do to help this animal friendly bakery survive will be posted in the coming days.
In other event news, please note that the pro-pedicab press conference at City Hall has been postponed one week to the 13th. For more pics from the vegan bakery rally, read on.

It's fantastic that so many people came out to support Peter and the bakery. Hope all the attention this is getting will make the landlord think twice before making them leave!

The owner, his staff and all the customers of the Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen make the East Village a better place, no question in the minds of a soul except the landlord.
As a person who makes the bakery my end-of-evening destination many many nights, I'd like to say it's up to all of us to try to somehow keep the bakery in it's current location.

"no question in the minds of a soul except the landlord."
Presuming that landlords have souls.
