Rally to save Whole Earth Bakery & Kitchen!

Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen has been a vegan institution on Saint Marks Place since 1991. Now, unfortunately, as we first reported last year, the vegan bakery's doors are scheduled to close forever on March 31st! Take action!

On February 3rd, join Whole Earth's Peter Silvestri, LOHV-NYC's John Phillips, the Church of Stop Shopping's Rev. Billy (right), community activists and elected officials for a rally. There will be plenty of hot cider, hot chocolate, hot soup and, of course, vegan sweets, so don't let the cold weather stop you from attending. Come and stand up for community. Stand up for healthy and organic food. Stand up for animals and vegan businesses! Details:

When: Saturday, February 3rd at 2pm
Where:Tompkins Square Park (near 7th St. between Ave. A and Ave. B)
RSVP requested: info@humanenyc.org / (212) 889-0303
In case of snow/rain: call (212) 889-0303 (LOHV-NYC) or (212) 677-7597 (the bakery) for instructions.
