Bebe the dog to be protected under new law

Bebe, a 5-year-old Bison Frise who was allegedly beaten as part of a domestic dispute, may be the first dog granted an order of protection under a new law recently signed by Governor Pataki. The law was authored by LOHV-NYC endorsees State Senator Frank Padavan (R-Queens) and Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D-Manhattan) in February. Check out the Daily News article here and the NY1 article here.

Curious where Rosenthal and Padavan stand on other humane issues and why we endorsed them? Check out our endorsements page to read their answers to our 7-page candidate questionnaire.
